We found a little friend while making our bog garden! This fine-looking toad popped by to say hello to the group while they were working.

First day on the Award and the group were pond dipping and preparing a raised bog garden for all-access minibeasting. Lots of barrowing and shovelling stone but we had a lovely day for it!

Started my raptor patch survey tonight for the Dean country park, found two nest sites one I think is last year and the other this years new build both Buzzard but no birds seen, will check both nest sites once a week through the nesting season.

20/03/18 Peebles we went to Peebles we went to Kailzie gardens and had a walk around a pond and then we went to the dark tunnel for a walk and saw Neidpath Castle on the way back to the mini bus then on the way back to college we stopped at Innerleithen for an Cauldwells ice cream.
