Friday was absolutely gorgeous, far too nice to be stuck inside the classroom. After a quick revision of the names and properties of 2D shapes, we went outside and made geometric patterns using chalks and masking tape. We think they are rather stunning!

Today it was Blaine and Bib's turn to read their Eco Hero story to the two classes. The theme they choose to raise awareness of was litter.

We made a well out of recycled tyres and planted flowers in it. We are VERY pleased with the end result!

We have enjoyed making these bright and colourful planters out of recycled tyres. Did you know that a ladybird is una mariquita in Spanish?

Living in the West coast we are spoiled for the amount of diverse wild spaces families have to choose from - some chose coastal areas, others allotments, their garden, the hills behind West Kilbride and a local Glen with waterfalls - all very different with different ecosystems but all as beautiful.

So many different things to do - to see, hear, smell, feel and touch in all the different wild spaces.

The group learned all about clouds and the water cycle. Some brilliant photos and drawings of the different types of clouds and drawings and models about the water cycle.

Some of the group spent time wild camping, hiking and exploring their wild spaces - we have been lucky with the weather lately thankfully.
