As the weather gets colder and we get the heating cranked up and the fire on, it's important to think about the impact the cold weather will have on wildlife. We spent a morning building bird and bat boxes alongside other volunteers and Callander's Landscape Project. A lovely morning meeting new people, learning new skills and getting involved in some conservation work. Callander’s Landscape aims to transform the Callander area into the ‘Outdoor Capital of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park’ with a more accessible and conserved landscape for visitors and locals to enjoy and restore Callander’s natural and built heritage. Set in an exquisite landscape including both the Lowlands and Highlands, Callander is a natural gateway to the National Park. Callander’s Landscape Project have offer a variety of volunteering opportunities from  auditing dark skies to building and installing wildlife homes.
