Today we returned to Haughall to go on another walk in the local area. We all walked as a big group noticing the impact that we as humans have had on the world. We could see where deforestation had taken place, where people had made paths through the foliage and how some people leave rubbish behind which can have huge impacts on animals.

Today we went back to the DAAC allotment and continued to clear back the overgrown plants. We want to help develop the area and make it a safe place for both people and animals looking at the bigger picture of using it to run horticulture activities.

Today we went to the DAAC allotment to see what work we can carry out. On arrival, we could see how overgrown the area was and how it had became a eyesore and a sticking point for rubbish. We collectively agreed to begin working on the garden by cutting it back to locate and clear the footpath. We then could access the wider area and made a start to chop back overgrowth from the surrounding plants. When doing this, we spotted the wildlife in the area ensuring we didn't disrupt any habitats.

Today the students went on a walk around Houghall and explored all the different wildlife in the area. We walked through the woods and noticed the birds in the trees. We could also spot some litter which one of the students picked up to put in a bin.

We continued walking towards the river and observed the fish before finding some more rubbish to put in the bin.
