Each family in the group were given the task of going away and finding their own wildspace to explore. They all found their own space identified by them. The following week the families discussed where their wildspace was, what they liked about it, what attracted them to it and what different things they saw when exploring it.

Josh did some research on carbonised wood, trees still grow in the sea here at pett, as this was once a forest thousands of years ago and dates back to a hunting area for cavemen, this is the reason for sinking sand due to the peat soil under the sand. Josh collected driftwood and made a driftwood mirror with the wood and shells.

Josh did a before and after worksheet for a littered beach and a clean beach, he also collected rubbish from the beach, this beach is regularly cleaned so not alot of rubbish to be found thankfully.

We found Hag stones on the beach, we did the research on this, which Josh found the meaning of these amusing, we put some string through them and hung them up.

Josh looked for fossils and collected shells from Pett beach, he looked them up in a shells book and learnt about the ones he had collected.
