On 30th October, we learnt about mushrooms and seeds. We focused on how mushrooms and seeds spread to help nature around them and the environment. Here are some pictures above, of diffrent mushrooms we found in the woods. We also leart alot about how nature prepares for winter, such as trees, animals and so on.

On 30th October, we learnt about mushrooms and seeds. We focused on how mushrooms and seeds spread to help nature around them and the environment. We also leart alot about how nature prepares for winter, such as trees, animals and so on.

Today we went on a foraging walk around our site. There is a market garden but we were looking for wild tea ingredients. We found lots of exciting things but settled on nettle, rose hip, dandelion and pine needle. Nettle was the most popular with pine needle a close second.

We were measuring how tall trees are in our woods it was surprising because everyone got something else. Me and Jack did it

We went to the woods today and we measured the height of trees, by walking and looking through our legs till we could see the top of the tree. We used trundle wheels to help us measure. Here is a picture of how many meters it is from the woods to the school.
