We learnt about 'from acorn to oak tree'. We then made a pot from a recycled plastic bottle and put an acorn seed in it to see if we can grow an oak tree! We also made a pot out of an empty toilet roll tube and newspaper to grow our own sunflowers

We visited the space again and took photos that showed off the amazing trees on our patch and across the road (there is a corridor of trees at this point of the road). We talked about what we should say in the email to the council to try to persuade them to put a TPO on the whole of the site and then sent the email! We're not expecting to get a quick response (or possibly any response at all) as we've tried to contact them about a few things during this award and not heard anything back....

Our final visit! We took a photo to compare the big willow when we started in January with how it is today. We journaled all our latest exploits and each filled in an evaluation form so that we could think about how we had each fulfilled the requirements of the award. We then sent off for the award certificates!
