We made a map of where we go to walk and where we do our John Muir award.

For our John Muir award we made a ‘signs of spring’ collage.

We went down to do a bit more litter picking this afternoon and bumped in to a neighbour who told us all about the history of the area over the last 50 years! He had been born very close to our little patch and remembered when it had all been grass leading down to the canal. He had played there as a young boy, worked at the factory opposite (now demolished and currently being turned in to a housing estate) as a young man, had lived in one of the flats over looking our patch as a newly wed... He now lived just 300m down the road and two doors down from us. It was amazing to find out how much had changed within his lifetime.

Checking and topping them up and taking photos to share with group.

A system to take rain water from surrounding houses to fill up the pond - both helping united utilities system and also benefiting the pond. 3.5-4hrs As usual we had a robin inspector. Jumped on the pipe in the photo and looked for grubs in dug up soil. We found lots of brick where we dug which people didnt think was from the housing estate - but seems a fair distance from the farmhouse that is still there...
