We all really enjoyed completing the scavenger hunt and we have built and sited the bird box. We have spent time studying the birds which come to our garden. A few weeks ago we played 'extreme' hide and seek in the woods covered in mud and camouflage paint. We have also been out twice at night to look for bats which we were lucky to see near our house. On another night we went on a night walk along a path we know well and looked at the differences from daytime and also looked at the stars and planets. We have 3 dogs now so we are out in the woods for walks everyday in all weathers. The boys particularly enjoy splashing in puddles and a few weeks ago went for lots of conker hunts in different spots around our area. The leaves this year have been beautiful colours and we have looked for different species of tree and shapes of leaf. We have also enjoyed discovering new walks and have built a den in the woods out of branches and leaves we found on the ground.

This time the sun was sort of setting so we were walking in the nature reserve at dusk which was truly beautiful... Also changed the SD cards and my wellies came in handy because the stream had overflowed because of heavy rainfall! W/c 2nd Nov 2020
