Spent the day removing weeds from around young trees.

Discovering and exploring the beautiful East Lothian coast and John Muir Way on our January camp this weekend.

Since we are placing Bird & Bat boxes around our local forest we decided to learn a little more about types of birds and Bats that might use our boxes and others that might just be in and around the forest . We held a little picture quiz on the birds to see who could identify the most from small birds to birds of pray . Then we played a yes/no game on facts about local Birds/Bats in our den the scouts would have to run to the yes or no line after a statement was read out to them then we would reveal the answer we also watch a short video about types of bats in the Uk & ireland .
