Well done P6 on another great session of Forest School - this week we looked at some of the different tree and plant species growing in the woodlands at the foot of Ben Nevis. We played "meet a tree", using all our senses to really get to know an individual tree at the site. We also learnt about responsible firelighting with sparks, and all succeeded at this challenge.

On Wednesday we had an annual litterpick through the Drumochter Pass (NCN7), with local volunteers joined by Pitlochry High School Junior Rangers and their teachers. The normal briefing tells them to be aware that adders are in the area, and so to take care, but that we are unlikely to see them. And then we passed this guy. Fat, sleepy, about a metre from the path and not going anywhere....
