Today the FBEC group went on a kingfisher spotting walk in the Lanchester area. Unfortunately no kingfishers were seen but some of the group ended up very wet in the river!!

The FBEC group took part in the 'make a portrait' exercise in Hamsterley today being only allowed to use natural materials that they discovered in the area. Staff took the brunt of the creativity!

The FBEC group took part in a plant and tree identification exercise based on those plants they've already discovered at Hackworth Park and Hamsterley. The group did well!!

The FBEC had a busy full day today. Horticulture and environment awareness at Burnhope this morning. This afternoon the group went for a discovery walk along the trail at Chester le Street learning about the local flora and fauna. The trail follows the river allowing the group to discover and explore how important an influence the river Wear is on this area

St Johns re attend Sherburn Road garden project again and complete some 'heavy labour' utilising existing materials to 're-vamp' this community space for everyone to enjoy
