24.05.18 Bioblitz - Hover Flies

24.05.18 Explore - During our bioblitz today we found lots of mini beasts including long horned beetles, midgies, crane fly and an orange tip butterfly. Arran found two hover flies which he told us are bee mimics. Here he is holding it, "Look it won't sting!" He told us that the hover fly has small antennae and very large eyes while a bee has large antennae and eliptical eyes.
