Adding Fuel To The Fire of Learning I

The afternoon would see us working again with Countryside Rangers Fiona and Kate on a topic that could certainly be decribed as a 'Life Skill' and one of the most important lessons we would learn. The topic for this afternoon was Fire Awareness and Fire Safety. Before a match was lit or a flint struck we sat down to discuss what makes a fire, the obvious and not so obvious dangers associated with it and also the impact that fires can have on both ourselves, nature, wildlife and the environment. We looked at the triangle of fire and Kate and Fiona explained to us through an interactive task just exactly what this was.
