Feeding the Birds

We are trying to attract songbirds back to our playground. We seem to have a team of seagulls that come in and swoop down after breaktime to eat all the dropped snacks, and we have seen less blue tits, wrens and sparrows around. We decided on a stormy day to make bird seed cakes using lard and bird seed. We then hung these from the trees around the school playground.
