Our jobs - Wednesday 18th October

We visited Noah’s Arcs on Wednesday 18th October, to weed around the hedging so that the roots can feed in enough space, without the weeds competing for nutrition. Rhys and Mackenzie did the weeding. Liam pruned the ash tree, to encourage new growth for a healthy tree. A lot of ash trees are dying in the UK, but Noah’s Arcs has 2 reasonably healthy trees. Mackenzie pruned the gorse bushes, to have lots of nice shoots for the sheep to munch on. Rhys and Liam put down mats to see if reptiles choose to hibernate underneath, for warmth.
