World Hunger Day: Organising a collection for the local foodbank.

Dear Parent/Carer,

We would like to inform you that World Hunger Day is coming up on Friday 28th May 2021. The Rights Respecting Schools Group would really like to be able to help support local families that are struggling during these hard times, so we have decided to organise a collection for Portlethen Community Larder (our nearest foodbank).

So many people don’t have enough to eat, and we would love it if you would consider donating something for this good cause. Down below is a list of food/products that we think would be good:

• Canned / tinned foods
• Pasta
• Sauces in jars
• Jam
• Rice
• Noodles
• Cereal
• Biscuits
• Soups
• Diluting juice
• Long life milk / juices
• Toilet roll / Kitchen roll
• Cleaning products

Your child can bring in donations between now and Friday 28th May. We will quarantine all donations over the weekend and then Mrs. Downie will take a group from the Rights Respecting Schools group to deliver the items the following week.
