Learning about Birds & Bats

Since we are placing Bird & Bat boxes around our local forest we decided to learn a little more about types of birds and Bats that might use our boxes and others that might just be in and around the forest . We held a little picture quiz on the birds to see who could identify the most from small birds to birds of pray . Then we played a yes/no game on facts about local Birds/Bats in our den the scouts would have to run to the yes or no line after a statement was read out to them then we would reveal the answer we also watch a short video about types of bats in the Uk & ireland .
