Planning the Award

Our very first session for our Discovery group was to plan out the award and find out a little more about the award and John Muir with help of some videos like this one and also from some of our older scouts from last year who did the Discovery award and they will be working closely with the Explorer group on their own award and on the Explorer group award. The Discovery group decided for the main part of their award was to brighten up a popular forest walk in our area using Clay Art and natural materials (which will not harm the area) while learning about them along the way. They will also in this area and other areas they use continue to use the leave no trace method and do clean ups every time they visit.
