Visiting Carrifran Woodland and The Grey Mare's tail

12th March - On a rainy day where it really wasn’t suitable weather for the hike up to Gameshope, we visited Carrifran, another of Borders Forest Trusts wild woods, established some 20 years ago. In a few weeks we will be working here removing vole guards from the young trees. After visiting, and walking up to the viewing area, we stopped off at the Grey Mare's Tail waterfall to look at this amazing feature in the landscape of the Scottish Borders. Well done to Darren and Duncan who braved the walk up to (very close to) the foot of the waterfall.
